Our edge comes from innovation and ingenuity. We are agile and resourceful and tools like Fusion360 allows us to conceptualize, collaborate and execute.
We partnered with Autodesk to learn and explore even more possibilities with advanced design tools in Fusion360 like Generative Design. This is something we have been experimenting with in the past, but the Pikes Peak Hoonipigasus presented us with an opportunity to really put the tools and their benefits to use. We used generative flow, computer generated flow paths to guide us though induction, charge cooling and exhaust manifold designs.
We were able to save time with the software generating bodies for exhaust flow, from which we developed our own geometry. The generated designs were based on real world data that we have collected from years of engine development and this yielded quick, reliable results.
This is just a small part of what we are learning. In the future, we are revamping the whole production and product design process with better tracking, management and ultimately easier product delivery - as we dive deeper in how to efficiently run a micro factory using the Autodesk tools.
