Factory Porsche GT3 rear shock mounts consist of an aluminum mount with a rubber bushing. This may be comfortable but is not direct. The other weakness is the rear spring perch as it rests on the shock mount. This causes slight binding of the spring with suspension travel.
The BBI StreetCup shock mounts eliminate all rubber components with a precision, high strength mono-ball (much like what is found on Cup or GT3 RS models). Furthermore, the spring perch pivots on the mono-ball along with the shock thus completely eliminating any bind on the spring. The spring perch is designed for 65mm springs (Spring Package required)
These mounts are direct factory upgrades but do require the BBi StreetCup Spring Package. Compatible with 991 GT3 and we are working on expanding applications to Carrera, Turbo and RS models.
