The 992 GT3 Aero Packages

This is a comprehensive and fully streetable aero program developed to leverage the Porsche 992 GT3 impressive aero advantages and increase downforce though select upgrades. We have developed two packages that provide improvements through a combination of upgrades.

992 GT3 VENTUS 1

The Ventus 1 package is an entry level combination of aero enhancements for the 992 GT3 Porsche. The setup will gain downforce via optimizing of airflow and increasing adjustability in the OEM wing element.

The Dive Planes are developed to guide airflow to improve efficacy by generating vortices to help evacuate air from fender wells, thus reducing lift on the body.

The upgraded wing mounts allow for a more aggressive Angle of Attack (AOA) to increase downforce potential of the OE wing.

The front gurneys augment airflow to increase flowrate through the ducting which makes for a slight bump in front downforce, shifting balance forward, and increase in flowrate through the radiator, aiding in cooling.

The anti-buffeting add-ons help keep the sound levels at bay when driving with windows down.

992 GT3 VENTUS 2

The Ventus 2 package for the 992 GT3 takes it to the next level with significant improvement in front and rear downforce. The package features most of the components from the Ventus 1 setup, but replaces the OE wing with a high downforce UCW wing element and adds a robust splitter setup.

The Verus UCW wing element was CFD developed and wind tunnel refined to generate a significant amount of downforce while keeping drag minimal. The wing mounts to the OEM wing mounts and is produced from 2x2 twill pre-pre carbon fiber.

The Splitter System is a direct, bolt on fitment for this platform. It is designed to balance out the upgraded UCW rear wing and develops significant front end downforce. It's made from a highly durable, impact resistant carbon poly weave material to maintain rigidity and aero effectiveness with maximum durability.

The products feature an OEM like fit and finish with zero permanent modifications to the vehicles.

Aero Terminology

Coefficient of Pressure (Cp) = This is a dimensionless number which describes relative pressure to atmospheric pressure. A Cp of 0 equates to atmospheric pressure while a number below 0 represents low pressure and a number above 0 represents high pressure.

CpX = This is a dimensionless number which describes Cp normal to the x-direction. This helps us visualize locations which create drag. Red represents locations which are creating drag, while blue represents locations where thrust is created.

CpZ = This is a dimensionless number which describes Cp normal to the z-direction. This helps us visualize location which create downforce or lift. Red represents locations which are creating lift, while blue represents locations where downforce is created.

Total Pressure Coefficient (CpT) = This is a dimensionless number which describes total energy of the airstream. It is the sum of static pressure and dynamic pressure.

Wall Shear = This is a force per unit area due to fluid friction on the wall. This is used to visualize areas of separation and rapid changes on the surface.

LIC Plot = Line integral convolution (LIC) is used to visualize “oil” flow on the surface. It is a great way to correlate to flow vis testing and to study the flow on the surface of the vehicle.

Streamline = These are fluid tracers which are used to visualize where the air is going or coming from. These are normally colored as velocity where red is high-velocity and blue is low-velocity.

Points = One point is considered 0.001 of a coefficient. This is used in coefficient of drag (Cd) and coefficient of lift (Cl).
